World Champion D Gukesh returns to Top 10
World Champion, D Gukesh has returned to World top ten in the November 2025 FIDE Rating list. He gained 10.8 Elo rating points en route his double Gold performance at 40th European Club Cup 2025 Open. Arjun Erigaisi and R Praggnanandha slipped to World no.6 and 7 respectively. There are now seven Indians in Top 30. Nihal Sarin is now World no.30. Aravindh Chithambaram added 1.9 Elo rating points. Among the Women, four are in Top 20. FIDE Women's World Cup winner, GM Divya Deshmukh returned to 2500+ club. She gained 7.2 Elo rating points at 29th European Club Cup 2025 Women. Nihal Sarin becomes World no.30, A dozen Indians still in World Top 100
GM Vincent Keymer (GER) made a massive jump from World no.9 to 4. He gained 17.6 Elo rating points combining European Team Championship and 40th European Club Cup 2025 Open. He was World no.21 in August 2025 FIDE Rating list, 10 in September, 9 in October and now World no.4. His meteoric rise in the last few months has been absolutely outstanding.





Women: Divya Deshmukh returns to 2500+
Four Indian women are in top 20. They are - GM Koneru Humpy, World no.6, GM Divya Deshmukh, World no.11, GM R Vaishali, World no.16 and GM Harika Dronavalli, World no.19 among women. Divya maintained her rank. However, her double Gold at 29th European Club Cup 2025 Women allowed her to return to 2500+ club. She gained 7.2 Elo rating points at that event. WGM Rakshitta Ravi gained 58 Elo rating points from two events. There are currently six Indians among the Top 100 women.




Countries
India had the no.2 position in October 2025 FIDE Rating list in terms of average rating of top ten players in the Open, twelve Elo rating points behind the USA. The gap is maintained in November.
