Mumbai will be the heart of Indian chess this December as the much-awaited Global Chess League Season 3 returns on 14th December at the Royal Opera House, Mumbai. Chess lovers in Mumbai are in for a special treat this December. Season 3 of the Tech Mahindra Global Chess League is just around the corner, and this year, it comes with a lot more than just a tournament. It's going to be a full chess experience! There will be matches no doubt, but along with that, we are going to organize a chess camp and multiple tournaments during the entire GCL period. Our plan is to offer you an unforgettable learning, competing and enjoying experience.

Three tournaments during GCL

Time control: 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment

Format: 7 Rounds Swiss League

Prize Fund: Rs. 75,000

Top 10 finishers:

1st: Rs. 15,000

2nd: Rs. 10,000

3rd: Rs. 7,500

4th: Rs. 5,000

5th: Rs. 3,000

6th–9th: Rs. 2,000 each

10th–15th: Rs. 1,500 each

Category prizes:

Below 1800, Below 1600, Best Unrated, Under 9, Under 12, Under 15 & Best Female Player
